Long Time No See

Hey guys! I know it's been quite a while since we hosted a Write Over. There's a reason for that. With this semester of school, Crystal and I have found ourselves much busier than we ever imagined. I found a new job teaching second graders, which takes up a lot of my time and Crystal is muddling her way through senior year of college, complete with directing a play and working.

Now that you know the reason, I wanted to apologize. I'm sure we will hold Write Overs in the future because we find them extremely enjoyable, but right now, they have not been happening as much.

With NaNoWriMo coming up, I wanted to direct you to the
[info]allyear_sprints community. They will be running sprints regularly and I think that you will find it an enjoyable community. It's where we got our start in sprints after all.

We will return with Write Overs in the future, so please stick around so you can receive the updates!

Challenge #9: A Last Chance

Last Chance
If it was your (or your character's) last chance to do something, would you/they do it? What if they didn't know it was their last chance? What if it was their first chance?

A roadside sign reads "Last Chance"

Internet Back

I got up at 6am, like I said I would. I went to go into the AIM room only to discover that the internet had stopped working. It's back now and I'm sorry to say that we missed the end of the write over. :(

On the bright side though, we have future Write Overs - bigger and better Write Overs - planned and hope that you will keep an eye out for those.

Thanks to everyone who came. I hope you enjoyed yourself.

Keep an eye out for the remainder of the challenges and I apologize again.

Challenge #8: The Good Bad Guy

Even the bad guy has a soft spot. Find the soft spot for your bad guy and tell your computer (or pad of paper) all about it.

Comment if you would like words added to this base. :)

Challenge #7: Embarass Your Character

Drop the books. Stub your toe. Trip over something. There are many small everyday incidents that happen that can create minor moments of embarassment for your character. Maybe she dropped her books on the toes of the new guy? Make an everyday embarassment an epic moment.

Post if you would like words added to this base. :)

Short Nap

The AIM room writeover is currently empty (besides Crystal & myself), so we thought we would get in a short nap while could. We will return with your regularly scheduled Write Over around 6am.

I'm going to put up some challenges to keep you entertained until we return. :)

Happy writing!

Challenge Sprint #6: Free to Write

Freewrite break. Set your timer for fifteen minutes. Forget about your characters, plot, and setting for a bit. Take the next sprint and freewrite. Say whatever comes out and don't let your hands stop until fifteen minutes is up.
